The objective of this webinar is to launch the initiative “Cybersecurity in our own words”, which seeks to empower children and adolescents from indigenous communities in the safe use of the digital environment and promote content in indigenous languages that strengthen their cultural identity.

This initiative was carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) and the National Institute of Indigenous Peoples (INPI) of Mexico, in collaboration with the Cybersecurity Section of the OAS/CICTE and with the financial support of the Government of Canada.

“Cybersecurity in our own words” seeks to promote a participatory and inclusive approach, where the voices of indigenous children and adolescents occupy a central role in the construction of a cybersecure Mexico.
