Digital Diploma in Leadership in Social Inclusion and Access to Rights

This diploma offers comprehensive training designed to strengthen leadership skills and promote social inclusion from a human rights perspective. Throughout the program, participants will acquire key knowledge about international and inter-American legal frameworks, explore tools for social development, and learn to integrate a rights-based approach into education and political advocacy.

In addition, participants will enhance practical skills in negotiation, persuasion, strategic communication, and the use of social media to advance social agendas. The Digital Diploma also addresses key topics such as digital accessibility, evidence-based policy design, and development project management and fundraising, equipping participants with practical tools to lead projects and promote change in their communities.

A unique experience for those seeking to be agents of transformation in the region.


Who can apply?

Representatives of governments working directly or indirectly on the social inclusion and human rights agenda at the regional level, as well as representatives of civil society, academia, the private sector, the media, public officials from international organizations, and other key stakeholders involved in designing solutions and engaging in public conversations on these issues, are welcome to apply. The call specifically invites people of African descent, Indigenous peoples, people with disabilities, women, youth, older adults, as well as migrants, refugees, and displaced persons, who demonstrate a clear interest in leadership for inclusion, equity, and human rights.

Methodology:

  • The academic program will last a total of 9 weeks.
  • The sessions will be held live via the Zoom platform and will combine lecture formats and participatory dialogues.
  • A bibliography of suggested readings will also be provided to complement the knowledge acquired during the virtual sessions.

Academic Schedule:

  • 15 live sessions: 2 sessions per week (every Tuesday and Thursday)*
  • From Thursday, March 6, 2025, to Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

*There will be a vacation on Thursday, April 17, 2025.

Live Class Schedule:

From 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Washington, DC time)

Certification:

  • The OAS School of Government Certificate will be awarded to those who meet the following requirements:
  • Attend at least 12 of the 15 live sessions.
  • Actively participate in the virtual classroom of the Digital Diploma.
  • Pass the final multiple-choice exam, which will be administered online upon completion of the Digital Diploma.
